We put up a few walls over the weekend so that the Harmon Tap Room is actually a room now. Progress! The brew tanks have all been righted and positioned as well. We’re still working on the Tap Room’s kitchen, where we’ll prepare a small menu of panini sandwiches, salads, and pizzas. A back room will also be available for private parties. There’s still plenty of work to be done, but also plenty of hard work to showcase.
Here’s a virtual walking tour starting out front at 204 St. Helens Ave:

Just think about all of that IPA and ESB goodness...mmmm....
We can't wait to welcome you all inside!

We have big celebrations brewing for St. Paddy’s Day at the Harmon Restaurant and The Hub!
We will be tapping our new Black Tartan IPA at both locations. It’s a full-bodied, boldly hopped IPA with a generous addition of black malt for a roasted porter-like finish. Made with 7 different grains and 4 types of hops. Dry hopped with centennial. 6.2% ABV, 70 IBUs. Don’t miss this one!
The Harmon will have some great food specials…corned beef and cabbage, shepherds pie, and our always-on bangers and mash. We will also be giving away two tickets to the Cask Beer Festival – simply buy a Black Tartan IPA between 5pm-9pm to be entered (you must be present to win).
The Hub will have Happy Hour specials from 3pm to 6pm and 9pm to close with $3 pints of Harmon Ales, $4 Guinness, $4 wine, and $4 premium wells. The dinner special, corned beef and cabbage with new potatoes, is only $9.95 (starting at 5pm). There will be live music with Myles Crew from 7pm to 10pm and then DJ Omar from 10pm to 1am, and as always, no cover charge!
It’s going to be a party at both locations – we’ll see you there!

Two flatbeds showed up at our new brewery location today carrying most of the big equipment for our new 30 bbl operation at 204 St Helens Ave in Tacoma. We’re getting everything unloaded and situated indoors today.
Nothing but smiles today! You can find more photos on Flickr.

We are proud to announce that Harmon Brewing Co. is expanding the production of our flagship ales with a second brewery! The new location will triple our current capacity and allow us to take Point Defiance IPA and Browns Point ESB to taps and retailers throughout Western Washington.
The new location, Harmon Tap Room and Brewery (204 St. Helens Ave in Tacoma) is below The Hub and across the street from the historic Landmark Convention Center. We’ll have room for about 50 up front at the bar, as well as a back room for extra seating and private functions. The outside garden is being designed by architect and artist, Robert M. Horner, who was also recently chosen to create artwork for Tacoma’s Center for Urban Waters on the Thea Foss Waterway.
Harmon Tap Room will serve a small menu for lunch and dinner – panini sandwiches, salads, and pizza – focusing on fresh, local ingredients. The Tap Room will also be the place to purchase growlers and kegs to-go. Whether it’s a few half-gallons of fresh ale for a backyard bbq or several kegs for a formal event across town, we’ll have you covered.
Tacoma has a legacy of local craft brewing dating back to the turn of the 20th century, with names like Heidelberg and Columbia . As we continue to grow, Harmon Brewing Co. wants to put Tacoma back on the brewing map!

That’s right! We’re tripling our brewing capacity and adding a tap room below The Hub. The News Tribune already scooped the story. Watch for more details coming soon to this space, or follow us on Twitter.
